What is SEN Village?

A closed mobile community for verified parents, guardians, carers, and organisations supporting SEN families. Registration is required before any part of the app is shown, including notices, because all content is member-generated and relates to children and families. It is not a medical or emergency service, and not a public marketplace.

Membership is free. Create a verified account at no cost, match with families, and message your connections without paying. Optional credits only apply when you choose to publish notices or enjoy ad-free time.

We know it takes a village to raise a child. In the SEN world, your familyโ€™s needs are often different from those around you every day.

SEN Village helps parents and carers discover others in similar circumstances nearby. Match based on preferences you control (such as general location, SEN type, and aids), never hidden behavioural profiling. Messaging and connecting stay free at the heart of the experience; credits support optional noticeboard posts when you want to reach the wider community.

Organisations such as charities, schools, and support providers can sign in separately to post on the Noticeboard. They do not appear in Village matching, so peer discovery stays a space for families, while organisations share trusted updates with the community.

Alongside peer connections, youโ€™ll find support resources, charities, safeguarding tools, and transparent funding that keeps moderation, hosting, and matching improving over time.

For parents, carers, and organisations

SEN Village now welcomes two kinds of members, each with a clear and friendly role in the community.

Parents and carers

Your village for peer support. After you create a free account and complete setup, match with families nearby, start conversations, browse the Noticeboard, and find charities and resources that fit your circumstances. Matching and messaging stay free.

Organisations

Charities, schools, and support providers can sign in to share updates on the Noticeboard. Organisation accounts do not appear in Village matching, so families choose when to connect, while you reach them with posts about events, services, and local support.

Partners and the wider village

We welcome collaboration beyond traditional charities alone. SEN Village is for every corner of the SEN community, including charities, local groups, parent advocates, therapists, inclusive venues, and schools where appropriate.

If you represent an organisation that supports SEN families, you can sign in with an organisation account to post on the Noticeboard and reach families directly. For partnership enquiries, contact info@sen-village.co.uk.

SEN Village is for adults aged 18+ who are parents, guardians, carers, or authorised representatives of organisations supporting SEN families. The app provides peer support and community information only, not medical, legal, or emergency advice.
